The best loved hostel in Plett. We offer comfortable and affordable accommodation in walking distance of nightclubs, CBD and beaches. Enjoy the beautifully decorated communal area and an amazingly beautiful huge garden. There are plenty of hammocks and hanging chairs which will keep you comfortable for those lazy moments in the day. Situated right in the center of our beautiful town. There are plenty of boutique shops, lovely coffee shops and fine restaurants all within easy walking distance. After some drinks in our bar you can go out in town and enjoy the nightlife in Plettenberg Bay. The pristine white sandy beaches are about 15 minutes’ walk from Albergo backpackers. Our lovely helpful staff is always there to help you to find the best way to spend your time in Plettenberg Bay.

Nothing can beat our stunning views from the balcony. Dolphins and whales are often spotted cruising the beautiful bays of Plettenberg Bay. For those who just want to have a lazy day, you can relax in our beautiful huge water wise garden. We have a lot of hanging chairs and hammocks for you to relax in. The garden is set around our communal area and fully stocked and licenced bar. You can come and enjoy a nice cocktail, shooter, beer or a lekker glass of wine.

Come and enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea in our beautifully decorated communal area. Eat your own home made meal, prepared in the fully equipped kitchen or prepared on the braai. We at Albergo for Backpackers accommodation Plettenberg Bay are very proud to make a bonfire for you every night of the year. We can teach you the art of traditional South African outdoor cooking, which is called “braai” in South Africa.

Birds of Eden

Birds of Eden's unique two hectare dome (the World’s largest) spans over a gorge of indigenous forest. The sanctuary has its own mysterious ruin, which incorporates a walk-behind waterfall. Another feature is its amphitheatre, which has the ability to seat over 200 visitors.
