Glampacking 101

Conveniently situated in the heart of Knysna on the Western Cape’s scenic Garden Route, Knysna Glampackers @ 52 on Main is the perfect accommodation choice from which to explore the surrounding attractions.

With an interesting history and lush garden setting right in the heart of town, you will definitely be a happy glampacker staying here. Most of the wood used, as well as the decorative windows, are being reused from a luxury hotel that was destroyed by fire at Brenton-on-Sea, located just outside of Knysna. The hands-on management team will ensure you have an enjoyable stay.

A wide variety of restaurants, shops and the lagoon right on our doorstep makes our unique Glampackers a traveller’s first choice!

Take a leisurely stroll to the waterfront, an 8 minute drive to the Heads with its magnificent views of the Indian Ocean, or a 15 minute drive to our blue flag beaches of Buffalo Bay and Brenton on sea.

8 Cosy Wooden Cabins and 3 elevated Loft Rooms clustered around a forest garden, have either bathroom or shower room in single, double or family options with double or twin rooms!

Birds of Eden

Birds of Eden's unique two hectare dome (the World’s largest) spans over a gorge of indigenous forest. The sanctuary has its own mysterious ruin, which incorporates a walk-behind waterfall. Another feature is its amphitheatre, which has the ability to seat over 200 visitors. The decision to develop Birds of Eden stems from the need to create a safe environment in which to release a large collection of free-flight African birds and miniature monkeys. Read More

Face Adrenalin Bungy

That pretty much sums up why we are doing what we do. How we do that is by keeping everyone safe, treating everyone with respect and helping people have fun! We do all this with a long bungy cord attached to Africa's largest bridge! The view from Africa’s highest bridge captures all the majesty and tranquillity of the Bloukrans River valley. Monkeyland – the world’s first free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary (located in The Crags, near Plettenberg Bay) - offers tours (we call them monkey safaris) during which you’ll see more than 700 primates comprising of capuchin monkeys, ringtail and black-and-white ruffed lemurs, saki monkeys, squirrel monkeys, vervet monkeys, 2 species of langur, howler monkeys, gibbons, etc in their forest home. Knysna Scootours

A unique and true forest experience. Enjoy an exhilarating downhill on the Monster Mountain Scooter, descent through indigenous forest, sweepy bends and single track. A scenic minibus ride takes you into the heart of the forest to the best hills to start your descent in the Garden Route National Park. Rastafarian Township Tours

Judah Square is a Rastafari community situated in a small valley in Khayalethu South, a suburb of Knysna, a town in South Africa. It was an informal settlement which developed into a formal one. It’s began in 1993 when the municipality responded to a request by the local Rasta’s to allocate them their own area. As per the development plan happening in the area, the Rastas still had to apply individually for lots but they were accorded beside one another. Read More
