Life doesn't get much better than this
After travelling overseas for 3 years, Kevin & Lynda returned to South Africa in 2002 with the idea of opening a backpackers. They decided to settle in the Western Cape and eventually found the friendly town of Robertson. Nestled between the Langeberg Mountains and the Breede River, the town and surrounds are well known for olive farms and superb wine estates which can all be visited. There was plenty to do in the valley and this made a fantastic place to open up a backpackers.
The house they bought was an old Victorian farm house, dating back to the 1880's. The rooms are big and airy with high ceilings. It is spacious and there are plenty of communal areas, so it never feels crowded. A lot of care has been taken to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. and all the beds have comfortable duvets and pillows.
The lush garden with stunning mountain views, comes alive at night with intimate lamps and lanterns. Guests are welcome to use the well equipped kitchen or use the communal braai.
The Moroccan room with an indoor fireplace & bar has a certain bohemian feel about it. It is a great place to have a drink, smoke a Shisha and listen to cool African tunes.
In 2010 two garden en-suites were built with their own veranda & sky-light shower. These have proven to be extremely popular.
Only a two hour drive away from Cape Town and with lots to do in the area you will want to stay longer. The Backpackers Rated one of the best in the Western Cape by the Rough Guide
