Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour
Explore Cape Town
Have only one day to fit in as much as you can about the surrounding sights and sounds of Cape Town? Then this tour is perfect for you.
Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town. We follow the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton & Camps Bay, to the fishing town of Hout Bay. You will have time for an optional boat cruise to Duiker Island to experience thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat (own account). We continue along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive – voted as one of the most beautiful drives in the world - to Simon’s Town. Simon’s Town is the main naval base of South Africa, but also home to one of the largest colonies of rare Jackass Penguins (also known as African Penguins) at Boulders Beach. We will spend some time visiting these adorable penguins in their natural habitat.
The bicycles behind the bus will then finally get their starring moment as you swop four wheels for two, and zoom down the road to get some fresh air into our lungs and to build up a healthy appetite. Our legendary scrumptious picnic lunch will then be served to replenish and delight.
Once inside the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve there is a chance to see Zebra, Eland, Baboons, Ostriches and many other interesting flora and fauna.
After lunch, we hike to the top lighthouse at Cape Point and then to the Cape of Good Hope. Both hikes offer breath-taking vistas of land and sea, and more fresh air!
We return home via Scarborough and Kommetjie, both small towns in the Peninsula. Your drive back will be spent viewing the beautiful scenery and vegetation next to the road, while many use the drive back as a good time to doze off after the exciting day.
You will be dropped at the door of your accommodation or requested drop-off point.
