Information

Located between the beautiful towns of Knysna and Wilderness lies the deceptively quiet-seeming town of Sedgefield. It has become a popular holiday destination not only for the avid birdwatcher but also the action sports enthusiast with many exciting activities on offer.

Sedgefield is surrounded by various lakes and vlei (meadows) making it a bird estuary of note. This also means that water-based activities such as canoeing, bathing and stand-up paddling can be done safely away from the ocean. With four beautiful beaches, ocean-based activities are plentiful from simply splashing around, to excellent fishing, boating, canoeing, windsurfing, waterskiing, and sailing.

Sedgefield is renowned for the Wild Oats Community Farmers`Market every Saturday, so why not start your day, with the farmers and local product owners and experience the vibe & the unique people. With local produce you can support the local community while mingling with those who have called this peaceful town home for many years.
